Welcome to Jiazi’s Site! My full name is Jiazi YI (易甲子 in Chinese). I’m currently a Senior Researcher and part-time associate professor in the Network Research Group, École Polytechnique, Paris.
My research interests include the Internet of Things, smart grids, intelligent networks, smart cities, mobile ad hoc networks, sensor networks, routing protocols, cybersecurity, QoS, etc.
I received my bachelor’s degree in computer science from Central South University, China, in 2005.
From 2005 to 2008, I joined the double-master’s degree program between South China University of Technology, China, and the University of Nantes, France. Then I received the master’s degrees in Computer Science and Electronic Systems, respectively, in 2008.
From 2008 to 2010, I did my PhD studies at the University of Nantes, IVC (Image-Video-Communication) team of L’Institut de Recherche en Communications et Cybernétique de Nantes (IRCCyN), and received the doctoral degree in Nov. 2010. My PhD thesis focuses on the multi-path routing protocol for ad hoc networks, in which MP-OLSR was proposed. I am also one of the main contributors to the LOADng routing protocol, which is the default routing mechanism used in G3-PLC for the future smart grid now being deployed in France and all over the world.
